Mutant Powers: Cyclops possesses the mutant ability to project a beam of concussive, ruby-colored force from his eyes. Cyclops's eyes are no longer the complex organic jelly that utilizes the visible spectrum of light to see the world around it. Instead, they are inter-dimensional apertures between this universe and another, non-Einsteinium universe, where physical laws as we know them do not pertain. This non-Einsteinium universe is filled with particles that resemble photons, yet they interact with this universe's particles by transferring kinetic energy in the form of gravitons (the particle of gravitation). These particles generate great, directional concussive force when they interact with the objects of this universe.

Brief History: As a boy, Scott Summers lost his parents in a tragic plane crash. His mother pushed Scott and his brother Alex (Havok) out of the plane with the only parachute. Unfortunately, the parachute caught on fire and Scott hit his head, putting him into a coma and caused brain damage. Alex was adopted and Scott spent months in a coma, only to be sent to an orphanage when he awoke.

Later, Scott’s mutant powers awoke to devastating effect. It would seem that the brain damage he suffered from the plane crash affected his ability to control his mutant powers. Scott unleashed a torrent of energy and blasted a crane apart and onto a crowd. A subsequent blast from Scott saved the crowd, but instead of praise, Scott suffered their anger and fear as they tried to pursue him. Scott fled and was eventually approached by Charles Xavier and became the first and the leader for the X-Men.
